What is AI?

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems. These processes include learning, reasoning, and self-correction etc. Artificial Intelligence is a way of making a computer, a computer-controlled robot, or a software think intelligently, in a similar manner the intelligent humans think.

Scope of AI:

The use of technology in every field has been increasing tremendously as it reduces human effort and thus simplifying their work. Artificial Intelligence can also jog someone’s memory by giving proper input commands. The most reputed software companies like Google, Apple, Amazon, honor etc. are working on AI to develop their services.

Artificial Intelligence is also being used in cameras of smartphones to recognize the pictures captured for different scenarios. Huawei is the first smartphone company to launch AI driven smartphones. In the medical field, AI is being used to diagnose problems. Companies are applying machine learning to make better and faster diagnoses than humans. One of the best-known healthcare technologies is IBM Watson. It understands natural language and is capable of responding to questions asked of it.

>A virtual agent is nothing more than a computer agent or program capable of interacting with humans. 

The most common example of this kind of technology are chatbots. 

Virtual agents are currently being used for customer service and support and as smart home managers.

>Deep learning platforms use a unique form of ML that involves artificial neural circuits with various abstraction layers that can mimic the human brain, processing data and creating patterns for decision making.

It is currently mainly being used to recognize patterns  and classify applications that are only compatible with large-scale data sets.

HIERARCHY IN AI:

A hierarchical control system is a form of control systems in which a set of devices and governing software is arranged in a hierarchy.

STRENGTHENING AI :

The ongoing success of applied AI and of cognitive simulation, as described in the preceding sections of this article, seems assured. However, strong AI—that is, artificial intelligence that aims to duplicate human intellectual abilities—remains controversial. Exaggerated claims of success, in professional journals as well as the popular press, have damaged its reputation. At the present time, even an embodied system displaying the overall intelligence of a cockroach is proving elusive, let alone a system that can rival a human being. The difficulty of scaling up AI’s modest achievements cannot be overstated. Five decades of research in symbolic AI have failed to produce any firm evidence that a symbol system can manifest human levels of general intelligence; connectionists are unable to model the nervous systems of even the simplest invertebrates; and critics of notvelle AI regard as simply mystical the view that high-level behaviors involving language understanding, planning, and reasoning will somehow emerge from the interaction of basic behaviors such as obstacle avoidance, gaze control, and object manipulation.

CONCLUSION:

Thus AI is being used in every aspect and has a lot of scope in the future. There are many career opportunities based on AI which are offered in public as well as private sector.
